Young midfielder close to extending his stay at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich are off to a bad start as Borussia Monchengladbach defeated them 2-1. However, There were a couple of positives to take from that game. Following which, Bayern Munich handed two young midfielders, Lucas Copado and Paul Wanner their first-team debut against Monchengladbach.

Bayern Munich is struggling with COVID cases and that forced Die Roten to call both the youngsters from the reserve team to play against Gladbach. Wanner and Copado were introduced as substitutes and both of them had some bright moments. They were tidy with the possession even when the Bavarians were behind in the game.

Paul Wanner is seen as a future first-team player. He became the youngest player to play for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga when he came on, aged 16 years, 15 days, for Marc Roca in the 75th minute against Monchengladbach. He beat Jamal Musiala’s record, who debuted when he was 17 years, 115 days old.

After he made his first senior-team debut, Bayern is also eager to secure his future. According to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich is already working on extending his contract. The midfielder has only six months left on the current deal, Bayern Munich are confident about a contract extension. Julian Nagelsmann sees a lot of potential in the German.

Bayern Munich have always nurtured their top young players with at most care. has done well in handling top young talents in the past couple of years. They signed Alphonso Davies from Vancouver Whitecaps. He was straightway introduced into the first team. The Canadian played in Champions league games even when he had no experience playing in Europe.

The Decision to give consistent playing time to Davies in the first team paid off as he became one of the finest in the world playing as a Left-back. He is currently one of the crucial players in the squad.

Munich midfielder prodigies

Jamal Musiala is another player who has grown as a top talent in Europe. The 18-year-old made his first senior-team debut at the start of the 2020/21 season. Musiala took the opportunity with both hands and signed a long-term deal with the Bavarians. The midfielder is also performing very well under Nagelsmann this season.

Hopefully, Paul Wanner also reaches the heights as one of the best midfielders. The youngster may not get game time since he is just 16. However, As long as the club has a good plan for him, Wanner is on a good path to become one of the greats.
