Bayern Munich to join the race to sign Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele is turning out to be a priority for Bayern Munich with Barcelona and Dembele not reaching a conclusion regarding his contract. Dembele’s current contract will expire in less than six months. Therefore, the French international can now hold discussions with other clubs regarding his transfer in the summer.

Although, Barcelona’s legendary midfielder, Xavi, who is the current manager of Barcelona is trying his level best to include the winger in his plans in the coming years. Despite, Xavi’s best efforts it appears that Dembele is very much likely to move elsewhere in the summer transfer window.

According to L’Equipe, Bayern Munich are interested in bringing the former Borussia Dortmund attacker back to the Bundesliga. Ousmane Dembele left Dortmund in 2017 to join the Catalans. He was awarded the Rookie of the Year award in 16/17 for his brilliant season with Dortmund.

Bayern Munich have set there eyes on Dembele as a replacement for Coman

The Bavarians are looking for a replacement for Kingsley Coman, who is planning on leaving the German giants in the summer transfer window. The Germans are expected to use the money generated from the sale of Kingsley Coman to bring Dembele.

They have pretty much similar attributes. The 24-year-old is an amazing dribbler and passer of the ball making him the most suitable option for Bayern despite his reckless wage demands. He likes to cut inside and has the counter attacking potency.

Since, Dembele played 50 games for Borussia Dortmund smashed 10 goals and provided 22 assists. These stats speak volumes about the Frenchman in the German league. Dembele would also be interested to play for the Bavarians.

With all of this happening Barcelona’s manager could exclude Dembele from his plans and look for players to sign in the summer to replace Dembele.

Bayern Munich are not the only club interested in getting their hand on the Frenchman. Newcastle United and Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race. In fact, Newcastle will be looking to revamp their squad after they were taken over by Saudi Arabian led group.
