There were speculations of Bayern signing the Goal Machine next summer when his release clause gets activated. Haaland’s Dortmund contract runs until 2024 but there is a 75 million euro release clause that would allow him to leave. Bayern has a world-class striker at their disposal.
Robert Lewandowski won the Striker of the Year Award at the Ballon d’Or 2021. He missed the ultimate prize by a whisker after he was robbed in 2020. The Polish international is very much likely to stay. When asked about Bayern’s interest in Haaland, Kahn told Suddeutsche Zeitung:
“We have Robert Lewandowski. He’s going to score 30 or 40 goals for a few more years.”

The Dortmund Talisman has been in a sizzling form since he joined Dortmund in 2020. He has scored 76 goals in just 75 games for Dortmund across all competitions, including 19 strikes from 16 appearances in the 2021-22 campaign.
The 21-year-old has an exceptional goal-scoring record in the UEFA Champions League as well. Dortmund have already crashed out of the Champions League after a poor run in the group stages. Dortmund was knocked by Paris Saint Germain last year in the Round of 16. As a result, all the European giants are running for his signatures.
